Shine the spotlight on the creative ways you’re communicating with the public about safety on and in the water. The IBWSS Communication Awards showcase outstanding outreach efforts of organizations, agencies, and groups who advocate for boating and water safety. Winners will be announced during the 2025 International Boating and Water Safety Summit. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. Applications must be received by March 15, 2025.

Categories: (A) Community Impact, (B) Digital, (C) Giveaways, (D) Print, (E) PSAs (any format), (F) Public Relations, and (G) Research. Only one entry per form. Note: A PSA with multiple extensions (audio, digital, print, video, or other components) should be entered as one entry.

Criteria: Entries will be judged on (1) uniqueness and innovation, (2) boating and water safety message and (3) success metric and impact on the target audience. The online entry form requires a summary of the project, target audience and goals, key messages, execution, and evaluation. Online entries only – no hard copies accepted.
